  Grand Soufriere Sulphur Spring Trail
The Grand Soufriere Sulphur spring trail is an fascinating walk through the south part of the island, overlooking dry coastal woodland that takes you between the villages of Tete Morne and Gallion via the village of Soufriere. The trial can also be access by driving to Grand Bay and then up a hill until you reach the viewpoint at the top of Tete Morne, from there you access a small but easy trail/path which descends southwards in the Soufriere valley. “On the way down there are spectacular views of mountainous slopes covered with dry forest and dominated by these purple flowers that bloom between May and July.

The pictures above show the different areas of sulphur deposit with hot springs and fumaroles of steaming water vapour and sulphurous gases, that passes through bamboo thickets, mango tress, rose -apple and other cultivated plants in the area.
